Our Mission
The International Contemporary Jazz Guild is building a global framework for recognizing the artists and industry professionals who shape contemporary jazz. Through independent standards, professional recognition, and evidence-based research, we aim to celebrate contributions, preserve legacies, and strengthen understanding of the contemporary jazz community worldwide.
What We’re Building
Recognition and Legacy
We’re developing a professional recognition program to honor the artists and industry contributors who shape contemporary jazz, while preserving the legacies of those who helped define it. Guided by independent standards and verified evidence, this work will document contributions across the global contemporary jazz community.
Research and Industry Insights
We’re developing an evidence-based research initiative to explore the people, contributions, and trends shaping contemporary jazz. Through thoughtful analysis and responsible documentation, we aim to bring greater visibility to the diverse professionals and creative work that sustain the genre.
Standards and Stewardship
We’re establishing transparent principles and responsible practices to guide the Guild’s work. Through independent evaluation, consistent standards, and respect for the people whose contributions we document, we aim to build an institution worthy of the contemporary jazz community’s trust.
